Yulong Bay Scenic Tourist Area mainly includes natural scenic area, film shooting base and Southeast Asian folk culture city. The natural scenic area is surrounded by natural mountains and rivers, and is characterized by colorful spring flowers, abundant summer fruits, mottled autumn leaves, and winter fog covered by clouds and mountains. Tourists can raft on the water, walk on the vine bridge, zipline; or explore the dense forest; or walk along the creek with winding paths, enjoying the fun of being in nature.
Yulong Bay is the filming base of the China Film Association. It is a domestic tourist resort that features Southeast Asian culture and perfectly combines cultural display projects with film and television shooting, conferences, folk song and dance performances, entertainment, leisure and vacations. The film shooting base takes the shooting scenes reflecting the style and features of the old city of Kunming as the leader, and traces the ancient Silk Road to establish "Qing, Ming, Yuan, Song, Tang" shooting bases. Here, tourists can not only watch the whole process of filming, but also trace the long history of China and find the similarities and differences between Yunnan culture and Central Plains culture. The cultural city with strong Southeast Asian ethnic customs, concentratedly displays the folk culture of 10 Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam, making the whole scenic spot colorful and interesting.
