Zhatang Temple is a Tibetan Buddhist Sakya monastery located in Zhatang Town, Zhatang County, Shannan District, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It was founded in 1081. It was originally large in scale and had triple courtyard walls inside and outside. Now only the main hall remains. The shape, layout and style of the main hall are similar to those of the central hall of Samye Temple. It has 5 floors on the outside, but it is actually 3 floors. Now there is only 1 floor, which is composed of porch, sutra hall, cloister and Buddhist hall. It was overhauled in the first half of this century.

There are many precious murals preserved in the Buddha Hall, which are divided into 10 groups, with the theme of different handprints of Sakyamuni. The surrounding figures are Indian, Central Asian and Han monks. From the aspects of character image, clothing, composition technique and coloring lines, etc., when It was painted when the temple was built.
