Zhangbei Zhongdu Grassland is located in Zhangbei County. Zhongdu was one of the three capitals as famous as Dadu (Beijing) and Shangdu (Kaiping) in the Yuan Dynasty, and it was a summer resort for the royal family. Zhongdu Primitive Grassland is a well-preserved primitive grassland. It is pure, magnificent and cool. It is the essence of Inner Mongolia prairie. It is a primitive natural grassland near Beijing (250 kilometers) and low latitude. In midsummer, the sky is high and the air is crisp in the grassland of Zhongdu. The sun is bright and clear, refining the overlapping hills in the distance into layers of golden and dazzling outlines. Blossoming white clouds dotted the blue sky, fluffy like a large piece of scattered cotton wool. Sometimes, the clouds cast huge shadows on the vast and silent grassland, giving people a lot of coolness. Zhangbei Zhongdu has a complete grassland ecosystem, and there are abundant wild animals and plants resources for viewing, picking, catching and eating. There are more than 30 kinds of natural flowers and grasses, among which: Leymus chinensis, Echinopsis chinensis, Winggrass, and Squirrel grass are all high-quality forage grasses. Daylily, wild alfalfa, malan, dry branch plum, bogongying, water safflower, nasturtium, wild chrysanthemum, etc. are blooming on the meadow, competing for beauty. There are wild herons, skylarks, and crested larks in the sky of Zhongdu Grassland, and there are also cute wild animals such as jumping rabbits, zokors, and sand foxes in the grass.
