Zhaohua Ancient City, called Jiameng in ancient times, is located in Zhaohua Town, Yuanba District, Guangyuan City. It is the only well-preserved ancient city of the Three Kingdoms in China. You can walk the streets and alleys in the ancient city and watch the intact Ming and Qing buildings on both sides of the street. There are also many relics of the Three Kingdoms in the city worth seeing. The more famous ones are: Fei Yi Tomb (Jinghou Temple), Yixin Garden, Longmen Academy (Seoul Museum), Shengsheng Dam, Jiameng Pass, Tianxiong Pass, etc. Tourists who are interested in the history of the Three Kingdoms may wish to find these scenic spots and pay tribute to them.
The ancient city of Zhaohua is one of the earliest counties in ancient China to implement the county management system, and it is truly the first county in Bashu. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, Zhaohua was a famous ancient battlefield, named: Xiameng Pass, which was the throat of the ancient Shu Road. In "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the stories of Zhang Fei fighting Ma Chao and Huang Zhong at night, Yan Yan retreating from Cao Jun and Jiang Wei's soldiers trapped in Niutoushan all happened here. The current Zhaohua Ancient City was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, and the basic layout and scale of the ancient city have been preserved. There are still three gates in the city, of which the Shengsheng Dam in the west of the city can be climbed.
