Zhazang Temple is located in Huangyuan County, Xining City, hidden among green mountains and green waters. This temple, built in the first year of Yankang in the Eastern Han Dynasty, has a history of more than 1,700 years. Although the temple is not big, it has a great reputation. In the sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, Suonan Jiamucuo, the third generation, came to the temple to preach scriptures and Dharma, which made him famous.
Zhazang Temple has a long history and picturesque scenery. It is an earlier Yellow Sect temple in my country. The temple was destroyed during the Yongzheng period, Tongzhi period, and ten-year turbulent period of the Qing Dynasty. Sutra halls, precious cultural relics, and historical books were burned, and many Buddha statues were also destroyed. Today's Zhazang Temple has been restored. Although it is not as grand as it was then, it is still full of incense.
