Zhenbei Terrace is located on the top of Hongshan Mountain in the north of Yulin City, about 7 kilometers away from Yulin City, and about 2 kilometers away from the scenic spot Hongshi Gorge. Many tourists visit these two scenic spots on the same day. Zhenbei Terrace was originally an observation post of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, and it was also the place where the Mongolian and Han peoples negotiated. This is the largest existing beacon tower on the ancient Great Wall.

Zhenbeitai, built in 1607 A.D., is the witness of "Monghan and Han family, peaceful mutual market" at the border. Next to Taipei, there is a small square brick city called "Cui Gong City", which was the place where Mongolian and Han officials received negotiations and held tribute offering ceremonies.

The newly built "Great Wall Museum" is also under the stage. The museum mainly introduces pictures, and some cultural relics are displayed. Visitors can pay more attention to the five-element wall bricks of "gold, wood, water, fire and earth". Tourists can visit here before going on stage, so that they can have a general understanding of the historical situation of the scenic spot and the surrounding landforms.

The Zhenbeitai that tourists see today is the newly renovated Zhenbeitai, which lacks some vicissitudes of history, but when you board the Zhenbeitai, which is about four stories high, you can still feel the remains of the beacon tower in the distance. To its majesty and the vastness of the surrounding land.

Standing on the high Zhenbeitai, the ancient city of Yulin is a few kilometers away to the south, and the legendary desert outside the Great Wall is to the north, where sand dunes and oases echo each other. To the east and west of Zhenbeitai is the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty. If the weather is fine, you can vaguely see the ruins of six beacon towers.

Many tourists will visit Zhenbeitai and the surrounding Hongshi Gorge together. It is recommended to visit Hongshixia first and then go to Zhenbeitai, so that after the tour, you can directly take bus No. 11 back to Yulin City before entering Zhenbeitai.
