Zhengguoqu Tourist Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Wangqiao Town, Jingyang County, Xianyang City. The Zhengguoqu site is located in the scenic area.

Zhengguo Canal is a large-scale irrigation project built by the Qin State during the Warring States Period. It is the first of the three major water conservancy projects with the same reputation as Dujiangyan in Sichuan and Lingqu in Guangxi. It is a natural water conservancy museum in my country and a key cultural relic protection unit.

The scenic spot is composed of five major areas: Jinghe Geological Park Area, Jinghe Canyon Sightseeing Area, Heigou Qixia Area, Wenjing Lake Leisure Resort and Beizhong Mountain Reserve Tourist Area.

In October 2016, the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage held the 2nd World Irrigation Forum and the 67th International Executive Council in Chiang Mai, Thailand. During the meeting, Zheng Guoqu was included in the World Irrigation Engineering Heritage List.
