Zhengying Village is located by Chirui Lake in Baoxiu Town, 10 kilometers west of Shiping County, Yunnan Province. It has a history of more than 600 years. In the ancient village, there are three streets and nine alleys named after surnames and geographical environment. The streets are bluestone pavement, and most of the houses are large courtyard houses facing north and south. There are 403 courtyard houses in the village, of which 28 are well preserved. The famous buildings in the village, Chen's Ancestral Hall and Zheng's Ancestral Hall, are large-scale, and the woodcarving crafts of architectural decoration are exquisite, and the carvings, calligraphy and paintings all show a high level of culture.
Zhengying Village is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with picturesque scenery. The ancestral halls, pavilions, schools and typical residential buildings in the village, the towering and magnificent Jibao Pagoda and ancient temples, the majestic palaces and temples, the exquisite and chic pavilions and pavilions, and the quiet and elegant classical gardens have formed a unique historical and cultural feature. Zhengying Village is called "the museum of Ming and Qing folk houses in my country" by construction experts.
