Shiping Mountain is located on the east side of the Wuyang River in Wuyang Town, Zhenyuan County, Guizhou Province. It belongs to the Qilian Mountains system. It is majestic and steep with heavy rocks. Stretching 2.2 kilometers from east to west, the main peak is 668.1 meters above sea level, and the relative height difference from Wuyang River is 204 meters. The Beishan Mountain on the side of Shiping Mountain faces the city, like a big screen, erected in the mountain. The cliff is thousands of feet high, "straight and wide like a screen", hence the name.
At the southern foot of Shiping Mountain, the ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Siheyuan are like waves, together with the provincial key cultural relics protection units such as Fuchengyuan, Siguandian, Tianhou Temple, Huoshen Temple, Confucian Temple, etc. from the top to the foot of the mountain. Dozens of county-level cultural relics protection units such as Zou Gong Temple, Su Mansion, Arctic Palace, Zihuang Pavilion, Qingshi Cave, and numerous ancient lanes, ancient well springs, and ancient wharfs are located together, forming a huge ancient building complex.
