Zhenyue Palace is located in the center of Huashan Mountain, West Mountain and South Mountain. The palace is built according to the east foot of the West Peak, and follows the cliff, which is a unique structure. The terrain in front of the palace is flat, surrounded by towering peaks, verdant pines, brocades of flowers, and a ring of Yao grass. It is a palace building with a beautiful environment.
Zhenyue Palace was first built in the Tang Dynasty, and it was built in the fourth year of Tang Kaiyuan (716) when the upper courtyard of Huayue Temple was rebuilt. "Hua Yuezhi Continued Edition" calls it "an ancient building with a thousand years of history, and it is called Shanggong". Because it is said that the jade well that grew Qianye Bailian was in the courtyard of Zhenyue Palace, so there was a Yujing Building in front of the palace.
At the end of Ming Dynasty, due to natural disasters and man-made disasters, the temples in the palace were dilapidated. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Fan Yangmin, a servant of the East Palace, lived in seclusion and practiced Taoism in the mountains. He built a nunnery in Lianhuaping to cultivate his character. Only then did Zhenyue Palace have a certain scale. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, further improvements were made on the architecture. In the twenty-sixth year of the Republic of China (1937), Mr. Shi Leiyuan, a famous calligrapher and painter from Huayin, donated money to build three additional buildings, expanding the scale of Zhence Palace. Due to several repairs, the winding corridors in the palace are quiet and elegant, and there is a mysterious jade well in the palace, which makes tourists yearn for it even more.
