Zhouqun Temple, belonging to the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, is one of the three hundred sub-monasteries of Dzogchen Monastery. It was first built in 1900 AD. The abbot, Gensang Zhiheba Rinpoche, the living Buddha, the monastery mainly teaches the strict and supreme Dzogchen teachings. Zhouqun Temple is located in Zhouqun Township, Tianjun County, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, 73 kilometers away from the county seat, at the foot of the beautiful Naishen Mountain in Tashi County.
