Zhuokeji Tusi Village is located in Xisuo Village, Zhuokeji Town, Maerkang County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It was built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1918), and was destroyed by a fire in 1936. From 1938 to 1940, Tusi Suo Guanying rebuilt it . Guanzhai is built on the mountain, facing south, and is praised by international friends as "a pearl in the history of oriental architecture".
Chieftain's official village, also known as chieftain's office or chieftain's official residence, is the center where chieftains governed land and exercised their rights in the old days, and it is also a symbol of chieftain's power and status. Zhuokeji Tusi’s official village is located in Xisuo Village, Zhuokeji Town. Its layout imitates the Han Chinese courtyard structure, with five floors and 63 rooms of different sizes. It is a typical Jiarong Tibetan building. The first to fourth floors are mainly open. The first floor is mainly the kitchen, prayer room and brewing room; the second floor has the Shu Brocade Building, the scene of the Central Red Army holding a meeting in the official village, military sand tables and other historical relics and text files. The third floor shows the chieftain's bedroom, dining room, smoking room, reception room, etc. The fourth floor is the religious and cultural exhibition hall.
Zhuokeji chieftain's official village is a collection of government offices, defense and residence, and it is a rare architectural masterpiece in the Kham area.
