The Zixiao Palace, built in the Song Dynasty, is located under the Zhanqi Peak of Wudang Mountain. Surrounded by peaks and deep pines and cypresses, it has always been regarded as the "Purple Heaven Paradise". In the Song Dynasty, the Zixiao Palace was destroyed when the "golden soldiers went south". In the 11th year of the Yongnian Year of the Ming Dynasty (1413), Ming Chengzu Zhu Di rebuilt Wudang Mountain. The Zixiao Palace is one of the key palaces to be built. It is also the family temple of the Ming Dynasty royal family , is the "National Prayer Land".

The main buildings of Zixiao Palace include Dragon and Tiger Hall, Zixiao Hall and Parents Hall, etc. Among them, Zixiao Palace is the main hall (main hall) of Zixiao Palace, and it is also a wooden structure with double eaves and Xieshan style that survived from Wudang Mountain. Built on the three-story Chongtai, it is even more magnificent. Back then, it was only for the emperor to worship.

Inside the Zixiao Hall, there is an algae well on the top, which is similar to the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City. In addition to enshrining the Jade Emperor, there are statues of Zhenwu Emperor in his old age, middle age, and youth, as well as seated civil and military statues. On both sides are golden boys and girls, generals, etc., with different expressions, all of which are art treasures of the Ming Dynasty. On the left side of the main hall, you can also see a fir tree several feet long. Because one end is tapped gently, the other end can hear a crisp sound, so it is called "Xiangling fir". It is said that this is also a relic of the Ming Dynasty.

When visiting here, you can also pay more attention to the roof of the self-sale hall. There is a "Aquarius" in the middle of the roof. Because the Aquarius is heavy and tall, it is restrained by four iron cables, and the other end of the iron cables is tied in the hands of four small iron men. Because of their location, they are higher than the main gods enshrined in the temple, so they are also called "shenshangshen".

Yuxuyan near Zixiao Palace is a large-scale and very dangerous rock temple in Wudang Mountain. It is located in the cave above the knife-cut cliff. Entering the cave, you can see the ruins of the temple house, cliff carvings and clay sculptures and painted statues everywhere.
