Zunyi Medical University (Zunyi Medical University) is a medical undergraduate college established after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. It is a university jointly established by the National Health Commission and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, and a pilot university for the outstanding doctor education and training plan project. It has been selected into the basic capacity building project of central and western universities . The school was founded in 1947, formerly known as Kanto Medical College. In 1949, Kanto Medical College merged into Dalian University and changed its name to Dalian University School of Medicine. In 1950, the establishment of Dalian University was abolished, and Dalian Medical College became independent. In 1969, in order to support the "third-line construction", the school moved south to Zunyi and changed its name to Zunyi Medical College. In 2018, it was renamed Zunyi Medical University. According to the official website of the school in January 2019, the school has three campuses: Xinpu Campus, Dalian Road Campus, and Zhuhai Campus, with a collection of 1,318,400 books; there are 28 teaching departments and 30 undergraduate majors.
