Zunyi Zoo was originally an animal exhibition area in Zunyi Park. It was built in 1956. It covers an area of about 9,600 square meters and has 41 kinds of animals. With the increase of urban construction and population, the area of the animal exhibition area cannot meet the needs of urban development. In 2005, the Zunyi Municipal Government moved this animal exhibition area to Changzheng Town, Honghuagang District, and opened it to the public after it was completed in 2006.
