I am ashamed to say that the Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is famous in elementary school textbooks, is the first time I have visited it until now. Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Zhenning County, Anshun, Guizhou. People in Chongqing usually choose to go there by car. In fact, I think the high-speed rail is more convenient. Because it still takes 6-7 hours by self-driving, it only takes about 2 hours and 40-50 minutes by train from Chongqing to Anshun, which is more convenient and quicker! Come on, for a weekend, just go!

Chongqing has a lot of trains going back and forth to Anshun every day, and it takes about 1 hour to arrive at Anshun and take a bus to Huangguoshu Waterfall.

Huangguoshu Scenic Area is actually very large, including 3 independent scenic spots: Steep Pond, Tianxing Bridge and Great Waterfall. You need to take a bus to and from, and the tickets can also enter and exit the scenic spot within 2 days. Therefore, it is more scientific to live in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. I recommend two accommodations in the Huangguoshu Waterfall. One is the Bailian Hotel, which opened in April 2019, and the other is the time-honored Huangguoshu Hotel.

Accommodation 1 - Bolian Hotel

The Bolian Hotel in Huangguoshu was officially opened in April 2019, and it took 4 years to build.

The geographical location is indeed the best. It is near the waterfall, enjoying quiet and privacy alone, and it is quite convenient to go to the scenic spot. It is only 1 kilometer away and you can feel the core scenic spot of "flying down three thousand feet, and it is suspected that the Milky Way falls nine days". Fall.

Surrounded by mountains and surrounded by clear water, Huangguoshu Bailian Hot Spring Hotel moves like a garden, with scenery everywhere.

The hotel is a typical new Chinese-style building, with a total area of 190,000 square meters, but only 16 villas.

Each villa has a total of 4 rooms, which can be connected, and each room is equipped with an independent bubble pool.

The room is also in a typical Chinese style, and the style of the National Bolian Hotel is indeed unified, with strong privacy.

Every Bolian hotel is characterized by traditional Chinese culture, with small bridges and flowing water, and green forests everywhere.

This is the shape of the villa seen from the outside.

Brilliant itself is a high-end brand in the hotel industry, so of course I don't need to describe it further.

The lobby also reflects the most authentic Chinese style, low-key luxury, artistic humanities.

The hotel is a typical new Chinese-style building. The use of a large amount of teak makes the whole color simple, quiet and bright. The high-ceilinged space structure is stretched and solemn, with a condensed and beautiful Chinese classical charm.

The restaurant can be privately ordered for dinner.

Now Brilliant Hotels are located in Kunming, Chongqing, Jingmai Mountain, Heshun, and Huangguoshu, Guizhou.

There is also an independent tea room for rest and chat. Bolian has always been famous for its good tea.

Of course, the price of accommodation in Bolian Hotel has never been low. I don’t want to elaborate on this. Simply soaking in hot springs is also possible, and the price is two to three hundred for one person.

Address: In Huangguoshu Scenic Area.

Price: from 4000 yuan/day.

Accommodation 2 - Time-honored Huangguoshu Hotel

This hotel is next to Bailian, but the price is several grades less. It is also a hotel with a long history in Huangguoshu. It was originally called Golden Waterfall Villa.

The best thing about this hotel is that there are several rooms that can directly see the Huangguoshu Waterfall.

The room has a feeling of time, but it is still kept quite clean. The most important thing is that the location is excellent. It is just at the ticket office of the Great Falls, and it is very close to the core scenic spot of the Great Falls.

The corner of Huangguoshu Waterfall seen from the balcony of the room is also the only accommodation in Huangguoshu Scenic Area where you can see the waterfall.

Location: Center of Huangguoshu Scenic Area

Price: 200-600 yuan/day

About Huangguoshu Waterfall related tricks

Known as "the most beautiful place in China" by National Geographic, Huangguoshu Waterfall is the only waterfall in the world that can be viewed from front to back, left, right, inside, outside, and up and down. It is also known as "the most beautiful place in Guizhou".

At first I thought that there was only one big waterfall in Huangguoshu Waterfall, but it turned out that I could see 3 different types of waterfalls in 3 different scenic spots, namely: Steep Pond, Tianxing Bridge and Big Waterfall. The usual route for visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall is: Steep Pond - Tianxing Bridge - Great Waterfall.

But I think the correct order should be: Great Waterfall - Tianxing Bridge - Doupo Pond. Visit the Great Falls in the morning, go to the waterfall for lunch at noon, visit the Tianxing Bridge in the afternoon, and finally the Doupotang Scenic Area, so as to avoid the flow of people.

This is the entrance to Huangguoshu Waterfall, the core scenic spot. Tickets: 180 yuan (including 3 scenic spots) can enter and exit the scenic spots at will within 2 days, but each scenic spot cannot be entered repeatedly.

The destinations of the three scenic spots can be reached by taking a transportation bus. The flow of people on the bus is also quite huge. 50 yuan/person. The transportation vehicle is once for each scenic spot, and the validity period is also two days.

Every bus goes to a different place, so before getting on the bus, you must check which scenic spot you are going to.

Therefore, the most scientific way to play is to arrive in Anshun on Friday afternoon and stay at the accommodation in the scenic area of Huangguoshu Waterfall. On Saturday morning, you can start the play mode, you can visit 2 scenic spots, and return after finishing the tour of Doupotang on Sunday. Normal work on Monday.

And the most convenient thing is that in June 2019, Huangguoshu Scenic Area implemented a real-name time-sharing reservation system. After tourists make reservations and purchase tickets online in advance, they basically don’t have to worry about queuing up to buy tickets (only queues are available for buses). There is no paper ticket, you only need to swipe your ID card for face recognition when entering the park for the first time, and then enter other scenic spots in the park to "swipe your face", which really saves time! very convenient. Whether it is a scenic spot, you can pass through face recognition directly, or you can directly "swipe your face" when you take a sightseeing car in the scenic spot.

From June 7, 2019, Huangguoshu Scenic Area will officially implement the online real-name system for time-sharing reservations for ticket sales, and the total number of daily tourists in the scenic area will be controlled at 35,000. Combined with the operation and carrying capacity of the scenic spot, the admission time is divided into four time periods. Tourists can reserve tickets online with their real names, and each ID card is limited to one ticket within two days.

Scenic Spot 1——Great Waterfall Scenic Spot

The first scenic spot after getting up in the morning is the core scenic spot - the Great Falls. Huangguoshu Waterfall is the filming location of Water Curtain Cave in "Journey to the West", and it is also the most famous waterfall in the group of Huangguoshu Waterfalls.

This scenic spot really revolves around it from top to bottom, from left to right, from outside to inside to see it thoroughly!

General Route: Entrance of Huangguoshu Waterfall - Bonsai Garden - Rhinoceros Pond - Huangguoshu Waterfall - Water Curtain Cave - Cable Bridge - Commercial Street - Sightseeing Car Boarding Point

New route: RV Camp - Catholic Church - Dazed Pavilion - Third Entrance - Observation Deck - Hexagonal Pavilion VIP Lounge - Water Curtain Cave - Rhino Pond - Huangguoshu Waterfall - Escalator - Boutique Bonsai Garden - Huangguoshu Hotel VIP bus point

That is, at the beginning, I bent down to see Huangguoshu Waterfall from a high place, and then walked all the way down to the bottom of Huangguoshu Waterfall to look up at it. On the way, I passed a Catholic church and a camping base.

Huangguoshu Waterfall is rich in vegetation, with various types of plants.

This corridor can see the development history of Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area.

This is an RV camping base.

The RVs in the camp are roughly divided into three categories: family type, business type, and standard type, and the RVs are separated by a certain distance from each other, and some of them are surrounded by small fences to form an independent small garden. The RV is fixed in the camp and cannot be driven. It is suitable for families to come and stay on weekends.

Passing by a Catholic church, it is a traditional Gothic style, which has been well preserved to this day, but it is not open to the public.

This Catholic church was built in the 24th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1898), and it was also a witness of World War II. At that time, American soldiers who aided China passed by here and would go in and sit for a while.

When we went, there was a lot of water and the weather was fine, so the Huangguoshu Waterfall looked magnificent.

You can come to the foot of the waterfall through a cable bridge.

You can feel the magnificent water potential of the Great Falls up close.

Then it is about to enter the Water Curtain Cave. Because we went in the morning, we didn't encounter a queue.

I heard from previous tourists that they have to queue for 2-3 hours to enter Shuilian Cave during peak hours. So it is right to go to Great Falls early in the morning.

Before entering the Water Curtain Cave, many small local vendors began to sell raincoats, saying that they must be worn, otherwise they will get wet. I reckon it's definitely getting wet, but it's not so bad to say that it's drenched.

Turns out I was right, I did get a little wet and that was fine, just do wear non-slip shoes. The water curtain cave is wet everywhere, the head is still dripping, and the wet ground is really slippery.

Looking at the waterfall from a distance is completely different from walking through the water curtain.

The new route can indeed be separated from a large number of groups traveling with a group without going to fight.

The new route does avoid the most congested road sections, but consumes the least amount of energy and enjoys more scenery in the same amount of time.

Huangguoshu Escalator: 50 yuan/person/round trip, 30 yuan/person/one way. This is the largest escalator in Asia. After the tour from the bottom of Huangguoshu, you can climb up the stairs and return to the entrance, or you can continue along the river. You can buy tickets at the big escalator and take the big escalator. You have to go up the stairs and go up two floors. Arrive at the place where you take the big escalator, straight line, two parts, quite long. It is recommended to buy a one-way trip, and we will take the escalator on the new route.

When you come up, you can go out from the exit and pass through the commercial street to end the tour of the most classic scenic spot. It takes about 2 hours to walk this circle, which is indeed very large.

Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest waterfall in China and Asia, and one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. So the most essential thing is to go to the tour early to be comfortable.

We had lunch at a restaurant in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area at noon, a traditional group meal.

In the restaurant, I saw the recommended project of Huangguoshu Waterfall Air Tour. You can take a helicopter to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall.

Scenic Spot 2 - Tianxing Bridge

After lunch, I took the bus to the second scenic spot - Tianxing Bridge.

Anyway, when you come to the three scenic spots of Huangguoshu Waterfall, the most important thing is to see the water, the waterfalls of various shapes.

General Route: Gate 1 of Tianxing Bridge - Wishing Pavilion - Tianxing Lake - Gaolaozhuang - Exit

New route: Gate 2 of Tianxing Bridge-Underwater World-Wishing Pavilion-Tianxing Lake-Gao Laozhuang-Tianxing Cave-Silver Chain Waterfall-Tianxing Bridge Cableway-Exit

We are still taking the new route, and we have seen different scenic spots: the underwater world with strange rocks, strange rocks and caves, the Tianxing Bridge scenic spot really made me miserable, it is a scenic spot that takes a lot of effort.

The English translation of this bridge is very distinctive:

Passing by this bridge, get on the bridge, and look at the scenery under the bridge

This is the bridge on the bridge on the bridge = three-story bridge

Tianxing Cave Tianxing Cave Scenic Spot is located in the middle section of Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area and is a typical karst cave.

Tianxing Cave is composed of a hall and several side halls. The main landscape in the cave has a strange shape. The main wonders in the cave are the grape hall that looks like piles of grapes; ; There are colorful and strange-shaped dripping stones and other shapes, as if the world's rare and heavenly objects are gathered here.

From the karst cave, you can walk to the essence scenic spot - Yinlian Zhuitan Waterfall.

The current is turbulent along the way.

Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall among the Huangguoshu Waterfalls.

Located in the stone forest area on the water of Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, it looks like a bucket, sounds like a song, and looks like a chain.

Among the Huangguoshu Waterfalls, I quite like it, I think it is very unique.

The inexhaustible mood and the weeping waterfall sound form a funnel-shaped upper part and a trough-shaped molten pool at the bottom.

The raised stone packs on the edge of the pool are like lotus leaves covering each other, interlaced and connected, and the river water spreads evenly on each leaf surface, flowing freely, like thousands of large and small silver chains. , and slowly fell into the melting pool with a soft voice.

After watching the Yinlian Zhuitan Waterfall, the essence of Tianxing Bridge is over. You can choose to take the cableway or walk.

Tianxing Bridge cableway ticket: 10 yuan/person/time.

The cableway is located in the lower half of the Tianxing Bridge from the stone forest on the water to the exit. The ride time is about 5 minutes. If you can’t walk, you can consider it.

Scenic Area 3 - Steep Pond

Doupotang is also a waterfall landscape. Compared with the other two attractions, this attraction is much smaller, and you don't need to walk too much, and you can see it quickly.

Doupotang Waterfall This is the location where the ending song of the 83rd edition of Journey to the West was filmed, which is the scene where Tang Monk, his master and his disciples jumped across the waterfall.

The upstream of Doupotang Waterfall is Baishui River. When the water is flat, the flow of Baishui River is not large, and the water flow is clear. Doupotang Waterfall looks very delicate and charming.

The water layer of the waterfall spreads evenly along the gentle waterfall surface, dancing lightly on the scaled travertine beach surface, like a thin, translucent veil, or like plain silk stretched out one by one. The fan surface glows silver in the sun, so some people jokingly call it "bridal veil".

But when the flood season comes, when the Baishui River turns yellow and turbid because it carries a large amount of upstream sediment washed down by the flood, Doupotang Waterfall loses its usual beauty and becomes extremely fierce and majestic.

This kind of trick abandons the route that is crowded with group tours, and does not go to some artificial and unnecessary scenic spots. It takes the essence and discards the dross. I hope it will help you.
