Jingxing mining area covers an area of 69.98 square kilometers and has a population of 100000 (2010). It has jurisdiction over 2 streets, 2 towns and 1 township. In 2007, the gross domestic product of Jingxing mining area reached 1.75965 billion yuan. In October 2018, it was selected as "the top 100 areas of national investment potential in 2018" and the top 100 areas of new urbanization quality in China.
