Qingpu District, Shanghai Municipal District, China, is located in the west of Shanghai, the lower reaches of Taihu Lake and the upper reaches of Huangpu River. It is adjacent to Minhang District in the east, Songjiang District, Jinshan District and Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province to the south, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, Kunshan City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province to the west, and Jiading District to the north. Qingpu District has jurisdiction over 3 streets and 8 towns, with a total area of 676 square kilometers. At the end of 2018, the resident population of the region was 1.219 million. Baihe Town in the district is the end of the West-to-East Gas Pipeline.
