My unexpected encounter with the rainy day
Starting from Datong, I plan to go to Wutai Mountain in Xinzhou for a few days, and then go all the way south to meet some friends in Taiyuan. Then go to the ancient city of Pingyao for a stroll. At the scheduled time, we will take the train to Xinzhou.
Datong is not far from Xinzhou, and it takes a few hours to arrive. It was still in the morning when we arrived, but the weather was not very cheerful. You can feel it on the train, we seem to have picked a "good day". Fortunately, God did not rain down, so we climbed the mountain smoothly. The two of us just want to go out for a stroll, and we are not Buddhists. Mount Wutai is a holy place for Buddhism. For us, Wutai is a good place to travel and relax.
It may be because of the cloudy sky that the mountain is filled with water vapor. Even so, there are still many people who come here to travel. We could see that the water vapor was slowly coming towards our mountain, and after a while, it began to drizzle, and the water vapor shrouded the mountain for a while.

Wutai Mountain did not disappoint us because of the rain. On the contrary, I think it is worthwhile to climb the mountain in the rain, because when the sun is shining, we have no chance to see this fairyland-like picture.

After we discussed it, we ended our trip to Wutai one day in advance and rushed to Taiyuan by train to meet up with our friends.
An early trip to the ancient town
All the way to the north, we came to the second destination of the trip - the ancient city of Pingyao.
The ancient city of Pingyao is about 85 kilometers away from Taiyuan City. The streets, shops and dwellings in the ancient city still maintain the traditional layout and style. breath.
The ancient city was also raining continuously. When it was almost noon, we entered the ancient city from the south gate, and we didn't have time to buy tickets.
