After spending the summer in Guiyang this summer, we drove back to Guangzhou. Along the way, we visited Doupotang Waterfall in Huangguoshu Scenic Area, Maling River Grand Canyon in Xingyi, Wanfeng Forest, Jingxi Goose Spring, Detian Transnational Waterfall, Old Kapok Scenic Area, Bazhaigou in Qinzhou, Red-billed Gull Cruise in Zhanjiang, Zhanjiang It took a week to return to Guangzhou after visiting the Sea View Corridor, Huguangyan, etc.
From Guiyang to Xingyi, passing through Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. Tickets for the scenic spot include three major scenic spots: Huangguoshu Waterfall, Tianxingqiao Waterfall Group, and Doupotang Waterfall. The tour route for general tourists is Doupotang Waterfall - Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area - Huangguoshu Waterfall. Tickets are valid within two days. If you can't finish the tour in one day, you can continue to play the next day, but each attraction can only be played once. We have been to this scenic spot more than once, but every time we only went to the Great Falls and Tianxingqiao Waterfalls, we were already exhausted, so we have never been to Doupotang Waterfall. This time I happened to pass by and spent an hour or two playing around, which is considered to have completed the three scenic spots.
The open-air parking lot of Doupotang Scenic Area is very large, and tourists who drive by themselves must park their cars here and take the scenic bus to enter the scenic area. After inquiring, the bus ticket is 50 yuan/person, and the three scenic spots run in circles. That would be a little troublesome. I don't know when I can transfer to the Doupotang scenic spot, let alone when I can transfer back here. I asked the security guard at the parking lot that it took about half an hour to walk from the parking lot to Doupo Pond. I decided to walk there and see the scenery along the way.
Doupotang Waterfall is located 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The top of the waterfall is 105 meters wide and 21 meters high. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. During the wet season, the waterfall water pours down along the waterfall surface, rumbling, the scene is very grand and spectacular, and if you are lucky, you can even see a beautiful rainbow. This is also the location where the ending song of the 1986 TV series "Journey to the West" was filmed.

There are many good small restaurants in Huijin Center opposite. The hotel room and washroom are very spacious, with complete facilities. It is very convenient and comfortable to live in. The breakfast variety is very rich. The best thing is that the listed five-star hotel includes breakfast and the room fee is only more than 300 yuan. After checking out early in the morning on the second day, drive to Xingyi Malinghe Grand Canyon. Maling River Canyon is located 4 kilometers northeast of Xingyi City, and the canyon is about 15 kilometers long. The canyon is deep and majestic, with numerous waterfalls and spectacular scenery in various poses and with different expressions. It is called "the most beautiful scar on the earth".
There is an elevator up to dozens of floors in the scenic area that goes directly to the bottom of the valley. Tourists who don’t want to take the stairs can take the elevator down to the bottom of the valley, and then take the elevator up to the ground after playing in the canyon, which saves a lot of effort.
There are pedestrian trails along the river at the bottom of the valley, and two chain bridges on the river connect the trails on both sides of the river into a ring for tourists to take pictures around the canyon. We walked along the plank road with a cliff on one side and a river on the other, winding up and down slowly, listening to the gurgling water under our feet, and feeling the gentle breeze in our ears. Along the way, watching waterfalls, listening to streams and taking pictures, it took about three hours to circle around, but I still feel a little tired.

After leaving Malinghe Canyon, we went directly to Xingyi Wanfeng Linfengxi Inn (576 yuan/night, including breakfast). The inn was recommended by friends who have been here. It is in the Wanfenglin Scenic Area. It is said that you can visit the scenic spot without buying tickets. In fact, it takes about four kilometers to drive from the inn to the gate of the scenic spot. If you don’t enter the scenic spot and take a sightseeing bus, you will definitely not be able to see the most beautiful place in Wanfenglin.
Compared with the surrounding inns, this one is indeed better. The terrain is relatively high, and the small building is quite beautiful. There is a pool of clear water in front of the door, and there is a viewing platform on the roof. The living room and dining room are decorated in a homely and comfortable way. Guests can order food at his home. It can be seen that the owner has put a lot of thought into the decoration. But after all, in the mountains, the musty smell in the room could not dissipate for a long time, and the store brought an air freshener, which seemed to be useless. This kind of place is suitable for a group of friends to come and sit in front of the court to chat, drink and watch the stars at night. Generally speaking, the price is a bit too expensive. If there are few people and self-driving, I personally think it is better to go back to Xingyi to live more comfortably.

Xingyi Wanfenglin Scenic Spot is composed of nearly 20,000 strange peaks and emerald mountains. The peaks and forests in the scenic spot are dense and continuous. It is a typical karst conical karst landform and is known as the Chinese Conical Karst Museum.
To visit the Wanfenglin Scenic Area, it is best to take the scenic sightseeing bus (buy the ticket + sightseeing bus joint ticket at the ticket office, the specific price is not remembered). The sightseeing bus tour is about seven or eight kilometers in length, and it will start at the point. Once tourists get on the bus, they will not change cars from the beginning to the end of the car tour. The driver and tour guide of the sightseeing bus will take the tourists to stop at each viewing point and let everyone take pictures. After the tourists take all the photos and get on the bus, they will drive to the next viewing point. I feel that the arrangement of the scenic spot is very good. Tourists don't have to wait for the bus at each viewing spot, and they are not afraid that there will be no seats when the bus comes. There were not many people in our car, so we didn’t stay at each scenic spot for a long time. We saw some sightseeing cars with a lot of people, and we stayed at each scenic spot for a long time. I feel that we are quite lucky.

We stayed at the Vienna Hotel (Jingxi Zhongshan Park Branch, 196 yuan/night) in Jingxi. I have never stayed in a hotel at this price before I went out, mainly because I was worried about quality and hygiene issues. This time, because I didn't find a suitable hotel in Jingxi, I saw that the hotel in Vienna had a high score, so I decided to try it for one night. Goose Spring (ticket 48 yuan/person) is located in Jingxi City. It has been one of the eight scenic spots in Jingxi since ancient times. Leaving Goose Spring, drive to Daxin County, where the Detian Transnational Waterfall is located, and stay at the Detian Waterfall Love House Inn in Daxin County (158 yuan/night). This inn is located in the scenic spot, and you must first pass through the gate of the scenic spot and show your reservation information to pass for free. When I went there, the inn was being upgraded and transformed from an inn to a hotel. There are unopened elevator parts in the yard outside the door. The boss said that in a few days, you can take the elevator up and down. The inn itself has a large restaurant open to the public. The young handsome owner took us to the restaurant for dinner, and then helped us carry our luggage upstairs and put it in the room. To be honest, the price of the inn in the scenic area is a bit beyond our expectations. It is estimated that after upgrading to a hotel and installing an elevator, the price should increase.
It is said that the best time to visit the Great Falls is in the morning, so I visited the old kapok scenic spot near the inn in the afternoon.
As soon as you enter the scenic spot, you will see the Purple Garden. This is a quiet place. The two walked hand in hand along the path in the garden. The afternoon sun shone with dappled light, and the light shone through the dense leaves and branches and fell on our bodies and feet. It's quiet everywhere, there is no hustle and bustle, no heat, as if there are only you and me in the world.

This scenic spot doesn't seem to be maintained much, and it looks a bit deserted. If you have time, it's good to take a walk inside, look at the natural scenery, and listen to the roar of the river.
To go to Detian Waterfall Scenic Spot the next morning, you still have to drive back to the ticket office at the gate of the scenic spot, park your car in the parking lot of the scenic spot, and then take a sightseeing car to enter the scenic spot. It is said that it is 10 kilometers away. There are guides on the Internet saying that you can drive directly from the inn to the scenic spot. There is a private parking lot on the road. You can park the car for 20 yuan and let the locals drive into the scenic spot. You can save some sightseeing fares (I don’t remember how much it is, it seems to be not cheap). I felt that this approach was too risky, so I didn't dare to try it, and I didn't have a car on the return trip.
Detian Waterfall is located in Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the border between China and Vietnam. It straddles China and Vietnam, with a maximum width of more than 200 meters. It is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world.

Some people are rowing boats for tourists. Tourists can take boats to the bottom of the waterfall and experience the magnificence of the waterfall nearby. We think it is better to watch from a distance so as not to get wet.
The summer vacation is over, and there are not too many people in the scenic area. Visitors can walk along the trails in the scenic area and take pictures of the waterfall from different angles at different viewing platforms.

The play time of Detian Waterfall is only one or two hours. At noon, I went back to the inn for dinner and checked out. I went to Qinzhou and visited Bazhaigou.
Bazhaigou is a very original natural landscape in Qinzhou City, with secluded bamboo forests, mountain streams, and fresh air. This is a natural oxygen bar. Leaving Bazhaigou Scenic Area, we arrived at Qinzhou Vienna Hotel in an hour's drive. We just stopped by and had nothing to say all night.
Go to Zhanjiang the next day and stay at Lavande Hotel (Zhanjiang Guomao Guangbai Store) (262 yuan/night excluding breakfast). Lavande Hotel adopts a small and fresh style. The rooms are not big. It feels that the grade is similar to that of Vienna, but the price is not as good as Vienna.
Arrived at Fisherman's Wharf in the morning and took the red-billed gull cruise ship at 10 o'clock. The red-billed gull cruise runs twice a day: 10:00 am and 15:00 pm, the whole journey takes about 80 minutes. Along the way, tourists can see Zhanjiang Port, Techeng Island, South China Sea Fleet, Bay Bridge, Zhanjiang Olympic Sports Center, etc. There are audio explanations along the way on the boat, but they are still forgotten after listening.
Viewing the sea from the promenade is one of the eight famous scenic spots in Zhanjiang. That night, at a seafood food stall near the hotel, I ordered two fried crabs with ginger and scallions, a pound of maggi shrimp, a fried macaroni, and a fried rice noodle. It only cost more than 100 yuan. Unexpectedly, the taste of the flower crab and nine-section shrimp was unexpectedly good. We still can't forget it for a long time, and even wanted to drive there to eat it several times. I recently drove to Chaoshan and Fujian, and I was looking for that taste all the way, but I couldn't find it.
The delicious seafood in Yangxi put a perfect end to our trip back home, and we drove back to Guangzhou early the next morning.
