For travel enthusiasts,

Every road is an adventure full of unknowns.

If you have ever had a road trip, you must know that the road trip has entrusted countless people's desire for freedom.

Driving on the road in Xinjiang, deserts, Gobi, snow-capped mountains, canyons, grasslands, forests, lakes, rivers... All kinds of beautiful scenery are spread in front of you without reservation, uncrafted, primitive and shocking.

This is the aftermath of a long road trip

I came to Kanas in a hurry three years ago, but I have always regretted not seeing the golden autumn of Kanas with my own eyes, so I called a group of friends together this time, and through intensive reading of a large number of strategies, I finally discovered the most The National Day Appreciation Autumn Small Group Self-driving Route, the result is very gratifying.

This self-driving trip departs from Urumqi, two cars, six people

Duration: Six days and five nights.

Route: Urumqi - Karamay - Urho - Burqin - Haba River - Tiereketi - Qibalshilik - Baihaba - Kanas - Fuyun - Keketuohai - Urumqi

Equipment question:

1. About the temperature: Xinjiang has a large temperature difference between morning and evening, especially on sunny and cloudy days. The temperature drops from September to October, so it is not too much to bring sweaters and down jackets. Keep warm at all times according to temperature changes;

2. About sun protection: It is best to prepare double for sun protection. The basic one is called physical isolation, which is to use a hat with a large edge, or a special outdoor sun protection hat + ice sleeves. The second is chemical isolation, which is the sunscreen we usually use. The higher the sun protection factor, the better.

3. Regarding luggage: Bring your own lipstick, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, medicine, rain gear, cold medicine, motion sickness medicine and other travel supplies;

4. About diet: The diet in minority areas is mostly cattle and sheep, so avoid overeating;

5. ID cards, student ID cards, military officer ID cards, teacher ID cards, disability ID cards, passports, frontier defense ID cards, driving licenses, etc., the ID cards that need to be carried, it is best to check and prepare them early to avoid trouble.

Vehicle Safety:

The most important thing for a self-driving tour is to ensure that there are no problems with the vehicle. It is recommended that you do a good job of system maintenance and inspection. For the five oils and three waters of the whole car, brake discs, chassis suspension, pipeline seals, etc., what should be replaced must be replaced. The principle of this matter is not to feel bad about money! Because it is your guarantee for travel.

Day 1

Let's go with my beloved little squirrel! There will never be a traffic jam~

The two cars rushed on Provincial Highway 201 and arrived in Karamay City at noon, and of course they had a full meal!

đź“ŤUerhe Devil City

About 105 kilometers from Karamay City (takes 1.5 hours)

It's a pity that I didn't see the sunset when I came to Devil City.

Fly all the way to Burqin!

đź“Ť Burqin

About 235 kilometers from Devil City (3 hours)

When we arrived at Burqin, the "fairy tale border town", it was nightfall. Although the feasting and feasting in Burqin did not belong to me, the grilled fish and baked naan at the night market must be in my belly!

Day 2

đź“ŤHaba River

About 57 kilometers from Burqin (takes 1 hour)

Get in the car, let's go to Haba River~

You need to apply for a border pass here first.

"The First Village in the Northwest" Baihaba needs to apply for a border defense permit to enter the village!

đź“ŤWhite Sand Lake

About 60 kilometers from Habahe County (takes 1 hour)

Baisha Lake is a small desert lake surrounded by sand dunes, about 60 kilometers away from Habahe County. Reeds grow in the lake, and poplars and birches grow around the lake. We saw the tickets and introduction on the original website, hit it off and decided to take a trip!

đź“ŤTie Reketi

About 184 kilometers from Baisha Lake (3.5 hours)

After strolling around for a day, the brothers who were driving were already tired, so we decided to stay here temporarily. It must be a special fate. We saw this mountain house as soon as we entered Tiereketi.

Take a closer look, walk in and have a look, this is actually a newly opened homestay, but the rooms look like a youth hostel, there are four-person rooms and six-person rooms, which are charged according to the bed, and private rooms are also available, very clean and tidy , Conscience recommend this.

It was still early, and we chatted with the young lady from the Youth Hostel for a while. The young lady was very enthusiastic to explain the route to us, told us how to buy tickets, and recommended us to go to a very beautiful small village behind.

đź“ŤZibal Helik

About 13 kilometers from Tereketi Township (20 minutes)

Yes! This is the small village recommended by the young lady of the Youth Hostel. We really need to listen to the advice of the locals. I heard that this village is a place frequented by artists, and it is also called "Oil Painting Village".

I finally really saw what it means to have cattle and sheep all over the hillside, the village is golden, and the small wooden houses of the herdsmen are neatly arranged.

Day 3

It was another early morning, after we checked out the room, we rushed to Baihaba non-stop.

It didn't take long to arrive at the Tiereketi ticket station. We bought a joint ticket for Baihaba and Kanas. At first I thought our car could not be driven in, but I asked the staff and told us: 200 cars with less than 7 seats are allowed per day. Really happy!

The mountain road twists and turns, and the scenery along the way is really dizzyingly beautiful with the rising sun. Old drivers must also drive slowly~

park your car in this parking lot

đź“ŤBai Haba

About 40 kilometers from Tereketi (takes 1 hour)

The "No. 1 Village in the Northwest" really deserves its reputation, and there is an endless stream of people walking and taking pictures. There are also many interesting homestays, I really want to spend many days here.

đź“ŤKanas Lake

Take the shuttle bus to Baihaba Scenic Area

Kanas Scenic Area Transfer Center

(takes about 1 hour)

At this time of year, there are indeed a little bit more people in the scenic spot, but based on the scene in front of you, you must come now!

Climb up to the Guanyutai to enjoy the panorama of Kanas Lake, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and the red leaves in the close.

We decided to leave this afternoon as everyone’s free time, take a stroll in the village, and find a bookstore to sit for a while~

There is also a band singing in the place to eat, the style of music is very distinctive!

The big barbecue of my dream is finally on the table

We bought one-entry tickets, valid for two days, and booked a homestay in the scenic spot in advance, so we lived in the scenic spot at night. Because it is the most beautiful season in Kanas, the housing shortage is unavoidable, so remember to book a room in advance!

Day 4

Wake up in the morning, embrace the sun, and fill your body with brilliant sunshine!

Breakfast is soft and chewy Boursac and warm salty milk tea~

We walked to the transfer center with full of positive energy, and took the shuttle bus to Yousanwan~

đź“ŤKanas Sanwan

fairy bay

moon bay

Wolong Bay

Friends, Sanwan must go to play in the morning! If you can't play, you will suffer, and if you can't play, you will be fooled! This kind of feeling can only be understood and cannot be expressed in words, so you must go there.

After visiting Sanwan, take the shuttle bus back to Baihaba, and drive our car to Beitun~

đź“ŤBeitun

About 240 kilometers from Baihaba Village (4.5 hours)

We rushed all the way to Beitun, because a friend in our car wanted to buy special products in Beitun... With her crazy recommendation, we each had a bottle of cow! Meat! Sauce!

Definitely not an advertisement! Everyone who has eaten it has become its fans~

Settled in Beitun tonight! I remember that the last time I came to Beitun, it was hot summer, and when I got out of the car, the big mosquitoes in Beitun gave me a big blow, and I was really scared. But now it's much better in autumn.

Day 5

đź“ŤCoco Tuohai

About 227 kilometers from Beitun City (3.5 hours)

Today's destination is Keketuohai!

Keketuohai World Geopark is located in Keketuohai Town, Fuyun County, Altay, Xinjiang. The four major scenic spots are Irtysh Grand Canyon, Kekesuli, Kara Sanger Earthquake Fault Zone and Yiremut Lake. soul.

cocoa suri

Along the way, we encountered many unnamed granite rock peaks such as Luotuo Peak, Shenxiang Peak, Remy Martin Face, General Peak, and Shenying Peak.

After the tour, return to Fuyun County to sleep.

Day 6

go home!

I would like to thank my five friends for this trip. For a route that has never been traveled, I did not expect that everyone hit it off and set off. On this road, we encountered the most beautiful autumn and a good mood along the way.

Finally, put a group photo of my friends~

Other considerations:

1. ID card! Be sure to bring it with you for security checks.

2. Come on! When the fuel tank is more than halfway, you must refuel immediately, because you don't know how far the next gas station will be.

3. Pay attention to check the weather forecast. It will be cooler in the morning and evening on the mountain, and the rain will fall as soon as it is said.

4. Disposable clothing! It is not convenient to do laundry during such a long trip. You can bring some disposable socks and underwear. If you are afraid that the hotel will get dirty, you can also bring sheets and pillow covers. It is definitely a good travel companion.
