At the symposium of the eighth season of Daren’s Journey to the West, Yu Fan summarized several themes of our trip to Tacheng in his speech. museums, etc.), a landmark tour (the heart of the Eurasian continent, Bakla port, Xiaobaiyang outpost, etc.), a food tour, and a music tour. We went to Dabancheng with Wang Luobin’s singing, and Yan Weiwen The singing came to the little Baiyang post.

"A little poplar grows next to the outpost, with deep roots and strong stems, guarding the northern border..." I believe everyone is familiar with "Little Poplar" sung by the famous singer Yan Weiwen, even if it is incomplete, At least you can hum a few words along with Xuanlu, and the place where the song "Little Baiyang" took place is a post on the Sino-Kazakh border in Yumin County, Tacheng, Xinjiang. It has become a holy place in people's minds, and "Little Poplar" has become a symbol of border guards.

The Xiaobaiyang Outpost is located at the foot of Barluk Mountain, Yumin County, Tacheng District, in the northwestern border of my country. It was built in August 1962. It was originally an outpost of the Tusti Frontier Defense Company. Named "Little Poplar Outpost". According to the staff, in August 1962, the Tasti Frontier Defense Company built a station here, and the three-humped camel and one pot were all the possessions at that time. The first batch of border guards built the first batch of barracks on the barren mountains by carrying them on their shoulders, carrying them on their backs, and digging by hand.

In 1982, Chen Fusen, a Xibo soldier from Ili in the border defense company, went home to visit relatives and told the story of the border post to his mother. His mother encouraged him to work hard in the army and not to miss home, and asked him to bring 10 poplar saplings back home. The post was planted, and he was told to take root in the frontier like a poplar tree, guard the border for the motherland, and guard the country with the officers and soldiers of the post. Chen Fulin and his comrades who returned to the border post planted the saplings beside the barracks, so the post was renamed "Little Baiyang Post"

At that time, Chen Fusen brought back a total of 10 poplar saplings from his home when he returned to the team, but only one young poplar survived the harsh environment (there are many trees beside the outpost now, except for the one that survived in 1982. Other than that, the others were planted by the soldiers later). With drinking water barely guaranteed, the soldiers spontaneously saved water to irrigate the young white poplar, making it grow into a towering tree with luxuriant branches and leaves.

In the summer of 1983, Liang Shangquan, a famous poet and lyricist, came to the Xinjiang border guards to gather folk songs. He was moved by the deeds of Xiao Baiyang, so his thoughts flowed like springs, and he wrote the famous song "Little Baiyang". , Yan Weiwen sang "Little Poplar" for the first time at the "August 1st" cultural evening held by CCTV, which sang across the country and inspired the border guards. The Tasti Outpost where Little Baiyang was located has since been called Little Baiyang Outpost. Since then, Little Baiyang has become a symbol of border guards, and Little Baiyang Post has become the spiritual home of border soldiers.

In 2003, due to the re-drawing of the border between China and Kazakhstan, the outpost was moved forward, so this little Baiyang outpost was changed into a tourist attraction and a red education base. It has also been named the National Defense Education Demonstration Base and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region National Defense Education Demonstration Base. It has become a beautiful tourist destination for frontier defense in the northwest, receiving more than 80,000 visitors every year. Now this small white poplar has grown into a towering tree, standing proudly at the border, standing tall and straight. It has witnessed the lofty state of loyal defense and selfless dedication of officers and soldiers of the past generations, and witnessed the glorious course of the consolidation and development of thousands of miles of frontier defense.

Near the Xiaobaiyang post, there is also a martyr Sun Longzhen's cemetery. Sun Longzhen was a soldier of the Corps at the time. During the Sino-Soviet border conflict, Sun Longzhen rushed into the disputed border triangle in order to rescue the kidnapped herdsmen from the same village. He was shot and died on the spot, which triggered the Tusti border battle.

In order to let people know more about the Xiaobaiyang outpost and the spirit of Xiaobaiyang who took root in the frontier like Xiaobaiyang, the local government built a Xiaobaiyang post exhibition hall next to the outpost, which includes the Tasti battle exhibition hall, Xiaobaiyang outpost exhibition hall, etc. , with both pictures and texts, easy to understand.

The exhibition hall adopts advanced lighting, sand table, and simulation technology to systematically restore the Tasti battle that took place in the outpost, and also molds sculptures of martyrs such as Sun Longzhen to truly reproduce the glorious scene of the Tusti battle that year.

Fifty-seven years have passed, and the inside and outside of the Xiaobaiyang outpost has been lined with green trees. The tall and strong poplar trees stand beside the outpost, standing proudly at the border gate and guarding the border. Xiaobaiyang has also become a brand of border defense culture, which is inspiring Generations of people's soldiers who have taken root in the border like Xiaobaiyang continue to write a glorious chapter of loyalty and defense of the border here.
