The scenery of Changhu Lake is located in the east of Yingde City—the mountains of Huanggang, Dazhan Town, 12 kilometers away from the city. It is a high-gorge flat lake formed after the Fujiang River was intercepted during the construction of the Changhu Hydropower Station in the 1970s. The rainwater collection area is 4,800 square kilometers, accounting for 97.4% of the total area of the Fujiang River Basin. The width of the lake ranges from tens of meters to 200 meters, like a long silver snake hovering in the mountains, stretching for 25 kilometers, hence the name "Long Lake".
