Chenjiadong Scenic Spot is located in the Longyan Mountain Canyon of Chenbao Village, Tonghua Township, 30 kilometers northeast of the county seat. Chenjiadong, also known as the Longyan Mountain Grottoes, lives deep in the Guanshan Canyon, with Yuntai in the south and Buddha Cliff in the north. Connected, the area has continuous hills, steep peaks and cliffs, lush forests and bamboos, exotic flowers and birds, light smoke, mist, and magnificent and colorful scenery. It was chiseled out of cliffs and has 9 niches, most of which are clay sculptures and painted paintings after the Song Dynasty. Its well-preserved, artistic and cultural relics are three cliff statues carved on a boulder during the Taihe period of the Jin Dynasty, with strong western ethnic characteristics. The seven-level pagoda built in the Tang Dynasty standing on another boulder is set against the three giant Buddhas. Since the creation of the Chenjiadong Grottoes in the Northern Wei Dynasty, it has been continuously repaired in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It has reached a certain scale, with many temples and pilgrims.
