Handan City Museum is a palace that displays the history and culture of Handan.

In the central hall of the museum, there are three wrought copper murals, "Light of Cishan", "Hu Fu Riding and Shooting", and "Jian'an Character", covering an area of ​​210 square meters. These three forged copper murals are currently the largest indoor forged copper murals in China. In the center of the hall is a group of bronze horse sculptures from the State of Zhao.

There are six parts in the museum's display content: (1) Cishan culture. The Cishan culture is the representative of the middle and early Neolithic culture in my country. The display focuses on the four major creations of the ancestors of Handan planting millet and walnuts, raising chickens and pigs 8,000 years ago. (2) Zhao Culture. During the Warring States Period, Handan was the capital of Zhao State. The exhibition concentratedly reflects Zhao's political pioneering spirit, economic status as an iron smelting center, military reform in Hu clothing, riding and archery, and cultural charm featuring music and dance. (3) Tombs of the Northern Dynasties. Yecheng is the "old capital of the Six Dynasties", and the tomb of Princess Ruru is a microcosm of the culture of the Northern Dynasties. The display reflects the high level of culture and art of this era. (4) Cizhou Kiln. Cizhou Kiln was created and fired in the Northern Dynasties, and became an outstanding representative of Chinese folk kilns in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. The display reproduces the glorious history of Cizhou Kiln for more than a thousand years with a large number of unearthed fine products. (5) Hundred years of vicissitudes. A large number of materials are displayed to reflect the rise of modern industry and commerce in Handan and the national democratic revolutionary struggle, especially the revolutionary struggle in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan border area, and the century-old history of the revival under the leadership of the party after liberation. (6) Handan Urban Planning and Construction Achievements Exhibition. The display reflects the great changes in Handan's development into a modern metropolis after more than 50 years of planning and construction.
