Huashan, known as "Xiyue" in ancient times, is one of the five famous mountains in China. It is located in Huayin City, Shaanxi Province. Huashan is also known as "Taihua Mountain", and it is the birthplace of Chinese civilization. The "Hua" in "China" and "Huaxia" originated from Huashan. The word "extraordinary danger" is the essence of Huashan scenery. "A road in Huashan since ancient times" describes the precipitousness of Huashan. There are many thrilling scenic spots in the scenic spot, such as the long sky plank road, the kite turning over, the thousand-foot building carved on the cliff, the Baichi Gorge, Laojun Ligou, etc. Those who are in the environment are all amazed.
Huashan scenic area is vast, including the main peak scenic spot, Xiyue Temple scenic spot, Xianyu scenic spot and so on. Among them, the main peak scenic spot is the core scenic spot of Huashan Mountain, including "Huashan One Road" and the five main peaks in the southeast, northwest, and middle. Huashan in most people's minds refers to the main peak scenic spot.
five main peaks
The east peak is about 2100 meters above sea level, so it gets its name because of its location in the east. There is a platform on the top of the peak, which is high and dangerous, and has a wide view. It is a good place to watch the sunrise. It is called Chaoyang Balcony, and Dongfeng is also called Chaoyang Peak for this reason. The East Peak is composed of four peaks with one master, three servants, the one facing the balcony is higher, the Yunv Peak is in the west, the Shilou Peak is in the east, and Botai is in the south. There are more than dozens of landscapes in Dongfeng. There are natural stone patterns on the cliff beside Dongshilou Peak, which looks like a giant palm print. That's where the story comes from.
The West Peak is about 2,000 meters above sea level. Because there are huge rocks on the top of the peak that look like lotus petals, ancient literati often called it Lotus Peak and Furong Peak. Xu Xiake's "Diary of a Tour to Taihua Mountain" records: "The stone rises on the peak, and there are stone flakes covering it, like a lotus." It should refer to this stone. There are many landscapes on the West Peak, such as Cuiyun Palace, Lotus Cave, Giant Spirit Feet, Ax Splitting Rocks, Sheshen Cliff, etc., accompanied by many beautiful myths and legends.
The South Peak is more than 2,100 meters above sea level and is the highest main peak of Huashan Mountain. The ancients called it "the head of Huashan Mountain". On one side of Nanfeng is a thousand-foot cliff, standing upright like a cut, facing a deep fault and ravine, and is isolated from Sangong and Sanfeng Mountains. The South Peak is composed of one peak and two peaks, the east side is called Songhui Peak, and the west side is Luoyan Peak. The origin of the name of Luoyan Peak is that the returning wild geese often rest here.
The North Peak is about 1,600 meters above sea level, suspended on all sides, crowned with clouds on the top, and connected to the ground below. Tang Li Bai's poem "Xiyue Yuntai Song Sending Danqiuzi" once wrote: "The three peaks stand as if they are about to be destroyed, and the green cliffs and Dangu are high in the palm. The Baidi Jin can use the vitality, and the stone is the lotus and the cloud is the platform." The famous " The story of taking Huashan by wisdom happened here. There are many landscapes on the mountain, the famous ones are Zhenwu Hall, Jiaogong Stone Room, Changchun Stone Room, Laojun Hanging Plow, etc.
Zhongfeng is the place where you must pass to go to the other four peaks, and it is located in the center of the east, west and south peaks. The forest on the peak is lush and the environment is quiet. There is a Taoist house named Yunv Temple at the top of the peak. It is said that it was the place where Qin Mu Gongnv and daughter Nongyu cultivated themselves in the Spring and Autumn Period, so it is also called Yunv Peak.

There are more than 210 famous scenic spots in Huashan. From ancient times to the present, countless literati have left various classic poems here.

The Long Sky Plank Road is located on the east side of the south peak of Huashan Mountain. It was built by the master of Huashan School, He Zhizhen Taoist Master in the Yuan Dynasty, who inlaid stone piles and paved wooden boards on the cliff to stay away from the mortal world and become an immortal. Walking to the end of the plank road, you can see the "Hezu Cave" where the head of He is self-cultivating. The road builders cut stone holes on the cliff, wedged stone piles into the holes, and laid wooden boards about 40 cm wide between the stone piles. Tourists must stick to the cliff, hold iron chains, step on wooden boards, and walk sideways. Move forward slowly.
- Xiyue Temple
Xiyue Temple, also known as Huayue Temple, is a temple where emperors of all dynasties enshrine and worship the great Xiyue Emperor "Shaohao". It was first built in the Yuanguang period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (134-129 BC), at the mouth of Huangshen Valley (now Huangfuyu) at the foot of Huashan Mountain. During Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty (147-167 A.D.), it was moved to the current site and changed to its current name. It was rebuilt many times in the Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties.
- Canglong Ridge
The steps on Canglong Ridge are only more than 2 feet wide, and there are deep ravines on both sides, as steep as a knife and an axe. The height difference between the upper and lower sides of the ridge is about 500 meters, and the slope is more than 45 degrees. Looking at the green pines and white clouds here, and hearing the wind blowing, it is dizzying.
- Jinsuoguan
Jinsuo Pass is one of the five passes of Huashan Mountain. It is built on a stone arch at the entrance of Sanfeng. It is the main throat from Wuyun Peak to the East, West, South and Middle Peaks.
