In Bawa Township, Zangxia, Zhuoni County, there is a gorge more than 10 kilometers long. Tao River passes through the gorge from south to north. The gorge is named Jiudian gorge because there are nine peaks in the gorge. There is also a legend that in ancient times, there was an endless stream of merchants in Ganchuan. A local old woman opened a hotel in the gorge, and the passing merchants would drink here The lamp is also called "hotel gorge" because it has the courage to cross the gorge.
Entering Jiudian Gorge from the north of Yanziping, Zangbawa Township, the east of the gorge is Baishi Mountain with an altitude of 3888 meters, and the west of the gorge is the remnant of Lianhua Mountain with an altitude of 3578 meters. The Tao River is sandwiched in the gorge. The river roared like a wild horse running wild. In the river in the gorge, the boulders are stacked in threes and fives, shaped like a crouching cow, arousing turbulent waves like thunder, and the huge waves are soaring.
In order to open up commercial roads, the ancients went through untold hardships, drilling holes in cliffs, digging stones in the air, erecting plank roads, and building wooden bridges with sliding cables to turn the natural moat into a thoroughfare. The stone holes of the plank road built in the past dynasties on the stone wall are still vivid, and the traces of bridge cables built in ancient times can still be seen everywhere.
There is an ancient castle site in the gorge, which is called the bridge road. There are stone caves and niches carved in the nearby cliffs, and there are still remnants of Buddha statues. There are several cliff stone carvings on the rock wall of the plank road, and there are inscriptions on the construction of plank road bridges in the past dynasties.
