Qilin Cave is a karst cave, formerly known as Tangshan Cave, named after a huge stalactite in the cave, which resembles a unicorn. It is located in Qianling Park in the urban area of Guiyang. The old name is Baiyi Temple. It was originally a place where nuns practiced. During the Anti-Japanese War, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng, two famous anti-Japanese patriotic generals, were imprisoned here successively, so they are famous far and wide. On February 23, 1982, Qilin Cave was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit, and in April 1997, it was listed as a patriotic education base in Guiyang. Yang Jin, the eunuch guarding Guizhou at that time, once wrote about the scenery of this cave: "In the depths of the white clouds, there is a Tang River, and the lotus at the entrance of the cave is pillowed with smoke and radishes", "thousands of haze, thousands of peaks and emerald greens, thousands of hanging pearls and everything hanging" shows that this cave has been around since the Ming Dynasty. For tourists.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the nunnery was demolished and a promenade-shaped tea hall was built. It was restored to its original appearance in 1985 and became a national cultural relic protection building. Some historical materials about generals and "Double Twelve" are displayed indoors. Between the entrance of the cave and the gate of the nunnery is a small courtyard, adjacent to the mountain and next to the cave, with a quiet environment. Now there are four redbuds, osmanthus and pomegranates that protrude sideways and slanted; chrysanthemums are planted all over the surrounding ridges.
