Mayi Museum is located in the ancient city of Shuozhou. It is a group of Liao and Jin antique buildings. It is currently a national third-level museum. There are seven museums including City History Museum, Buddha Statue Art Museum, Pottery Museum, Bronze Ware Museum, Stone Carving Museum, Calligraphy and Painting Museum, and Miscellaneous Items Museum. The museum exhibition has local cultural characteristics, and the lighting and glass are okay. The museum is not as famous as the previous pockets. Its cultural relics range from the Neolithic Age to the Qing Dynasty, and the Neolithic Age, Qin and Han, Northern Wei, Ming and Qing Dynasties account for a high proportion. The bronzes and pottery of the Han Dynasty witnessed the birth of Mayi City, and the Buddha statues of the Northern Wei Dynasty reflected the religious culture at that time. The Miscellaneous Museum has the Neolithic Zhiyu Culture, and many stone tools have been unearthed. There are also gold and silver wares, iron wares, jade wares, bone wares, stone carvings, bricks and tiles, fans, revolutionary cultural relics, Ming Dynasty weapons, etc. The Calligraphy and Painting Gallery gathers the calligraphy and painting works of top scholars and scholars in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but they must not be authentic or fake. The opening hours of the museum are a bit short, 9:00-11:00 in the morning, 15:00-17:00 in the afternoon, and closed at noon. The same is true for the nearby Yuchigong Temple and Chongfu Temple.
