North Wudang Mountain, known as Longwang Mountain in ancient times, is a sacred place of Taoism in my country. It is a scenic spot with lush vegetation and a forest coverage rate of more than 70%. North Wudang Mountains has the hero of Mount Tai, the wonder of Mount Huang, the danger of Mount Hua, the beauty of Emei and the tranquility of Mount Qingcheng.
The main peak is almost surrounded by cliffs, and there is only one man-made ladder to climb. There are more than 1,450 steps in the ladder. There are railings and iron chains in the steep places. Visitors can hear the melodious "stone sound" every time they step. There are many strange stones in the mountains, and thousands of catties of "turtle stones" stand on the edge of the cliff. When pushed hard or blown by the wind, they will crumble, which is frightening. Therefore, it is also called wind-moving stone, which is one of the rare landscapes in my country. Many experts believe that the "turtle and snake stone" on the North Wudang Mountains should be regarded as a first-class treasure among the natural shaped stones in nearly a thousand famous mountains in my country. Climbing North Wudang Mountain is not easy, but going down North Wudang Mountain is even more difficult. Some tourists sighed that even Huashan and Taishan could not trouble him, so he probably wouldn’t be planted here.
There are more than a dozen Taoist priests in the North Wudang Mountain Taoist Temple, and there are clay sculptures, murals, stone tablets and other cultural relics in the temple, which are of precious historical research value. There is a Zhenwu Temple on the top of the peak. According to the records of ancient steles, it was founded in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. From the first day to the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, it is the period of the ancient temple fair. At that time, cigarettes will be lingering and tourists will gather.
