Qianming Temple was built in the late Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the thirty-sixth year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1771). Zen master Xiandu stayed here to spread Zen.

Qianming Temple was dilapidated due to years of disrepair. Later, it was severely damaged, the Buddha statues were destroyed, scriptures were burned, and the monks were scattered. After construction, the temple now has the Daxiong Hall, the Great Compassion Pavilion, the Sutra Library, the guest hall, the Zhaitang, the monk's dormitory, the office building, the mountain gate, etc., which are magnificent.
