Hongfeng Lake is located in Qingzhen City in the west of Guiyang. It is the largest artificial lake in Guizhou Province. There are more than 100 large and small islands and peninsulas in the lake.

Maple trees are densely covered on the Red Maple Ridge by the lake. In late autumn, from the beginning of November to the beginning of December, the maple leaves are all fiery red, which is quite spectacular against the backdrop of the clear water. Hongfeng Lake has a vast surface and is divided into four areas: North Lake, Middle Lake, South Lake and Back Lake.
