Xiaoxitian is located on Fenghuang Mountain, 1 km northwest of Xixian County, Shanxi. It was originally named Qianfo Temple and is a Buddhist temple. It was founded in the seventh year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1634 A.D.). The temple is divided into an upper courtyard and a lower courtyard. There are many brightly colored and vivid statues in the two courtyards, which can be called the fine works of Ming Dynasty painted sculptures. There are buildings such as Wuliang hall, Weituo hall, left and right wing rooms and forward Yemen in the lower courtyard. The Wuliang Hall sits west to the east, and there are dozens of bronze Buddhas and wooden carved heavenly palaces and pavilions inside. On the left and right of the upper courtyard are the Manjusri Hall and the Puxian Hall, and the Daxiong Hall is in the middle.
The main hall is covered with large-scale painted hanging sculptures, and there are 5 interconnected Buddhist niches lined up on the front. 5 main Buddhas sit in them, and 10 disciples stand on the left and right sides. Inside the hall, there are 33 floors of heavenly palaces and pavilions, with colorful paintings and carved beams and painted buildings. There are many hanging sculptures in the hall, the characters are full and vivid, and the inner world is portrayed movingly. They are exquisitely shaped and interesting treasures of Ming Dynasty painted sculptures.
