Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, whose full name is "Shakya Pagoda of Fogong Temple", is located in Fogong Temple in the northwest of Yingxian County. The wooden pagoda was built in the second year of Qingning (AD 1056) in Liao Dynasty, and was added in the sixth year of Jin Mingchang (AD 1195). It is an ancient wooden tower building in my country. If you are an "ancient architecture enthusiast", then Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is the place you must come.

This octagonal wooden tower is about 60 meters high. Except for the four-meter-high stone platform on the first floor, the rest of the parts are made of wood. No nails or rivets are used, and all of them are made of traditional crafts. Mao built. The wooden pagoda has five floors, and there are dark floors between each floor, which is actually nine floors. Each floor is supported by inner and outer circles of wooden pillars, each floor has 24 pillars outside and 8 inside. For more than 900 years, this wooden tower has experienced violent storms, earthquakes and artillery bombardments, and it still stands.

Because the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda is tilted every year, in order to protect the ancient pagoda, tourists can no longer climb the pagoda, and can only visit the first floor of the pagoda, but this does not affect your appreciation of this thousand-year-old pagoda. At the bottom of the wooden tower body, there are two gates, north and south. When you enter the first floor of the wooden tower, you can see an 11-meter-high statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, with a dignified face and a happy expression. Looking up, you can see the exquisite and gorgeous caisson at the top. There are also six Tathagata Buddha statues painted on the walls of the inner trough, and King Kong and disciples are also painted on the two side walls of the doorway. The murals are brightly colored and the characters are lifelike.

In addition to the architectural art here, the plaques hung by celebrities in Yingxian Wooden Pagoda are also worth seeing. When you stand under the wooden tower and look up, plaques hang high under the eaves of each floor of the wooden tower. Among them, two plaques inscribed by the emperor are very attractive to tourists. One is the inscription "Jun Ji Shen Gong" written by Ming Chengzu Zhu Di. It was inscribed by Zhu Di when he led his army to the Northern Expedition in the fourth year of Yongle (1406 A.D.) and stayed in Yingzhou (now Ying County). The "Wonders of the World" inscribed by Zhu Houzhao is the little Tatar prince who was defeated by Zhu Houzhao in the third year of Zhengde (AD 1508) in Yanghe (now Yanggao County) and Yingzhou (now Ying County). It was inscribed when the pagoda invited meritorious generals.

There are wind chimes under the eaves of each floor of the wooden tower. When there is wind, the wind chimes will ring in the wind, which is very pleasant. There is a temple behind the wooden tower, so it is recommended not to go there. Some tourists have reported that the incense there is ridiculously expensive.
