The scenic spot is located at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain in Qinfeng Village, Yingpan Town, Zhashui County, Shaanxi Province. The scenic spot starts from Xiaoyukou in Yingpan Township in the south, with an altitude of 1,030 meters, and reaches the main peak of Zhongnan Mountain in the Niubeiliang Nature Reserve Experimental Area in the north, with an altitude of 2,604 meters.
The Qin-Chu Ancient Road has a long history. It was the main throat from Qin to Chu before BC, through which silk, money and food, soldiers, horses and chariots passed. It is a battleground for military strategists of all dynasties. It starts from Huamen Tower in the south and ends at Daqian Pond in the north, with a total length of 15 kilometers. According to historical records, a large-scale restoration was carried out in 562 AD, and the road was 2.5 meters wide. After the 1960s, it was gradually abandoned.
The Qin-Chu Ancient Road crosses the Zhongnan Mountains and is carved on the special position of the north-south spine of the Qinling Mountains. The Qinling Mountains is the dividing line between the north and the south of the land of China, and the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River.
There are 258 species of plants in the scenic area, many of which are rare and precious tree species in the country. Entering summer, countless exotic flowers and plants compete for splendor, colorful and fragrant. Wild Chinese herbal medicine can be seen everywhere, all over the mountains and plains, everywhere. The scenic spot is a paradise for wild animals, including takin, antelope, leopard, red panda, salamander, and canary bird.
