Detroit (/dɪˈtrɔɪt/ dih-TROYT, locally also /ˈdiːtrɔɪt/ DEE-troyt; French: Détroit, lit. 'strait') is the largest city in the U.S. state of Michigan. Detroit is a major port on the Detroit River, one of the four major straits that connect the Great Lakes system to the Saint Lawrence Seaway. The City of Detroit anchors the second-largest regional economy in the Midwest, behind Chicago and ahead of Minneapolis–Saint Paul, and the 14th-largest in the United States. Both cities will soon be connected by a new bridge currently under construction, the Gordie Howe International Bridge, which will provide a complete freeway-to-freeway link. The new bridge is expected to be open by 2024.

However, due to industrial restructuring, the loss of jobs in the auto industry, and rapid suburbanization, among other reasons, Detroit entered a state of urban decay and lost considerable population from the late 20th century to the present. Since reaching a peak of 1.85 million at the 1950 census, Detroit's population has declined by more than 65 percent. In 2013, Detroit became the largest U.S. city to file for bankruptcy, which it successfully exited in December 2014, when the city government regained control of Detroit's finances.

Pulandian District is a municipal district of Dalian, located in the south of Liaodong Peninsula and the north-central part of Dalian, ranging from 39 °18 & #39;25" to 39 °59 & #39;00", East longitude 121o50 & #39;33" to 122o36 & #39;15". It is bordered by Zhuanghe City and Huanghai City to the east, Wafangdian City to the west, Jinzhou District of Dalian City to the south, Gaizhou City to the north, and Changhai County to the southeast. As of 2016, Pulandian District has a total area of 2769.9 square kilometers and a population of 916000. In 2013, Pulandian District (formerly Pulandian City, the same below) was realized.

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport, IATA: DLC, ICAO: ZYTL), located in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, is a 4E-level civil transport airport. One of the important airports, it is a national first-class civil international airport, a major domestic trunk line airport and an international scheduled flight airport.

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport was opened to traffic on October 6, 1972. In 1984, 1992, 1999 and 2005, the airport was expanded and upgraded successively. On September 6, 2011, the third-phase terminal building of the airport was completed and put into use, and the annual passenger handling capacity of the airport rose to 16 million to 20 million passengers.
