San Jose,[A] officially San José (/ˌsæn hoʊˈzeɪ, -ˈseɪ/; Spanish: [saŋ xoˈse]; Spanish for 'Saint Joseph'),[B] is a major city in the U.S. state of California that is the cultural, financial, and political center of Silicon Valley and largest city in Northern California by both population and area. With a 2020 population of 1,013,240, it is the most populous city in both the Bay Area and the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Combined Statistical Area, which contain 7.7 million and 9.7 million people respectively, the third-most populous city in California (after Los Angeles and San Diego and ahead of San Francisco), and the tenth-most populous in the United States. Located in the center of the Santa Clara Valley on the southern shore of San Francisco Bay, San Jose covers an area of 179.97 sq mi (466.1 km2). San Jose is the county seat of Santa Clara County and the main component of the San Jose–Sunnyvale–Santa Clara Metropolitan Statistical Area, with an estimated population of around two million residents in 2018.

Jinan, also known as Quancheng, is the capital of Shandong Province, the vice-provincial city, the core city of Jinan metropolitan area, and the central city in the southern wing of the Bohai Sea area approved by the State Council. By 2018, the city had jurisdiction over 10 districts and 2 counties, with a total area of 10244 square kilometers, a built-up area of 561square kilometers, a resident population of 7.4604 million, an urban population of 5.3789 million, and a urbanization rate of 72.1 per cent. Jinan is located in East China, the central and western part of Shandong Province and the eastern edge of the North China Plain. Jinan is the army headquarters in the northern theater of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, the core city of the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, the capital economic circle in the north, the Yangtze River Delta economic circle in the south, and the Shandong Peninsula in the east and west.

Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport, IATA: TNA, ICAO: ZSJN), located at the junction of Licheng District and Zhangqiu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, China, 30 kilometers away from the city center, is a 4E-class civil international airport. One of the important entry gateways and arterial airports.  
Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport was completed and opened to navigation on July 26, 1992. The expansion project of the flight area was completed in October 2000; the expansion project of the terminal area was completed in March 2005; and the south concourse project of the terminal building was started in 2010.  
According to information on the airport's official website in September 2017, Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport covers an area of ​​7,200 acres, with a total terminal building area of ​​114,000 square meters, of which the south corridor covers an area of ​​30,000 square meters, which can guarantee an annual passenger throughput of 12 million , 4,500 passengers at peak hours, and 100,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings; the apron is 440,000 square meters in total, with 24 boarding bridges.   As of the end of 2016, the airport has more than 140 air routes.  
In 2018, the passenger throughput of Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport reached 16.612 million, a year-on-year increase of 16%   . On the morning of August 27, 2022, the Jinan Yaoqiang Airport Phase II Reconstruction and Expansion Project Construction Promotion Meeting was held at Yaoqiang International Airport.
