El Paso (/ɛl ˈpæsoʊ/; Spanish: [el ˈpaso] "the pass") is a city in and the seat of El Paso County in the western corner of the U.S. state of Texas. The 2020 population of the city from the U.S. Census Bureau was 678,815, making it the 23rd-largest city in the U.S., the sixth-largest city in Texas, and the second-largest city in the Southwestern United States behind Phoenix, Arizona. The city is also the second-largest majority-Hispanic city in the U.S., with 81% of its population being Hispanic. Its metropolitan statistical area covers all of El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas, and had a population of 868,859 in 2020. El Paso has consistently been ranked as one of the safest large cities in America.

El Paso stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez, the most-populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua with over 1.5 million people. The Las Cruces area, in the neighboring U.S. state of New Mexico, has a population of 219,561. On the U.S. side, the El Paso metropolitan area forms part of the larger El Paso–Las Cruces combined statistical area, with a population of 1,088,420.

Gangnan District is under the jurisdiction of Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region. it is a county-level district established after the prefecture-level Guigang City was established in 1996. It is located on the banks of the Yuhe River in the Xijiang Valley of the Golden Waterway, southeast of Guigang City, on the south bank of Yujiang River, adjacent to Xingye County in the east, Pubei County in the south, Hengxian County in the west, and Gangbei District and Guiping City in the north. In the southern part of Hong Kong, there are double tracks of Li-Zhan Railway and National Highway 324, Nanning-Guangzhou Expressway runs through the whole territory, and the Xijiang River in the golden waterway flows through four villages and towns in the area, and it can pass through thousand-ton freighters all the year round, directly to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It is an important transportation hub in Guangxi and an important channel for the export of materials in the southwest. By the end of 2010, Hong Kong South District has a total area of 1089 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 6 towns, 2 townships and 1 street, 165 village committees with a population of 635600.
