Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (listen) lawss AN-jəl-əs;[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. 'The Angels'), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world's most populous megacities. Los Angeles is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The city of Los Angeles lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.

Baihe County is located in the eastern part of Bashan, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. It faces the Han River in the north, Yunxi County in Hubei Province across the river, Yunxian County in Hubei Province in the east and Zhushan County in the south, and Xunyang County in the west. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, the mountains and ditches of the whole county alternate, the Han River crosses from the north of the county from west to east, and the Lengshui River and Baishi River flow into the Han River from the southwest to the northeast of the county. The administrative region is divided into 12 towns and 128 administrative villages (communities). The length from east to west is 53.3 km (map distance), the width from north to south is 41.5 km, and the total area is 14.
