Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (listen) lawss AN-jəl-əs;[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. 'The Angels'), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world's most populous megacities. Los Angeles is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The city of Los Angeles lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.

Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County (Gongshan County) is an autonomous county under Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Located in the northern section of Nujiang Grand Canyon in northwestern Yunnan, it is located between longitude 98 °08mo 98 °56km east and latitude 27 °29km Latitude 28 °23'. It is connected with Deqin and Weixi counties in Yunnan Province in the east, Fugong County in Nujiang Prefecture in the south, Chayu County in the Tibet Autonomous region in the north and Myanmar Union in the west. The border is 172.08 kilometers long and covers an area of 4506 square kilometers. In 2007, Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County achieved a gross national product of 235.2 million yuan. The main scenic spots of Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County are Biluo Snow Mountain, Gaoligong Mountain, Dandanglika Mountain, Nujiang River, Dulong River and so on.
