Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (listen) lawss AN-jəl-əs;[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. 'The Angels'), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world's most populous megacities. Los Angeles is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The city of Los Angeles lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.

Yongsheng County is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. The county is located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, in the middle of Lijiang City, Yongbei Town. As of 2008, Yongsheng County has jurisdiction over 5 towns and 10 townships (including 7 ethnic townships). Yongsheng County has a total population of 392024 in 2010 and a local GDP of 4.48 billion yuan in 2012. Yongsheng is rich in products, known as "northwest Yunnan granary", "land of fish and rice". Rice, sugarcane, flue-cured tobacco and peanut are the main crops. Yongsheng Chenghai is famous for being rich in natural algae protein. Chenghai spirulina is listed as the key project of Yunnan Provincial Government's "18 Biological Development Project". The tourist attractions in Yongsheng County are Chenghai, Lingyuanqing, Yangping Reservoir, Mao ancestral Hall, Lijiang Biantun Museum, Sanchuan Tulin and Hongshiya ancient earthquake sites.
