Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (listen) lawss AN-jəl-əs;[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. 'The Angels'), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world's most populous megacities. Los Angeles is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The city of Los Angeles lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.

Yumin County belongs to Tacheng area of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, which is located in the southern margin of Ta'er Basin and the western margin of Junggar Basin in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region. It is located between longitude 82 °12 °83 °30 'east and latitude 45 °24 °46 °3' north. The length of the border ground line is more than 150 km. The town of Harabra, where the county seat is located, is 425 km away from Urumqi. The county is 65 kilometers wide from east to west and 120 kilometers from north to south, with 2 towns and 4 townships under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 6220 square kilometers. The total population is 55000 (as of 2013), mainly Han, Kazak, Hui, Uygur and Mongolian. In 2013, Yumin County completed a gross domestic product of 1.257 billion yuan, an increase of 13.65% over 2012. There are libraries in the main scenic spots in Yumin County.
