Los Angeles (US: /lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (listen) lawss AN-jəl-əs;[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles [los ˈaŋxeles], lit. 'The Angels'), often referred to by its initials L.A., is the largest city in the state of California and the second most populous city in the United States after New York City, as well as one of the world's most populous megacities. Los Angeles is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California. With a population of roughly 3.9 million residents within the city limits as of 2020, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic and cultural diversity, being the home of the Hollywood film industry, and its sprawling metropolitan area. The city of Los Angeles lies in a basin in Southern California adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the west and extending through the Santa Monica Mountains and north into the San Fernando Valley, with the city bordering the San Gabriel Valley to its east. It covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2), and is the county seat of Los Angeles County, which is the most populous county in the United States with an estimated 9.86 million residents as of 2022.

Sanyuan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is known as "Jiayi" in history and "Chiyang" in ancient times, which is located in the middle of Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi Province. It is named after Xiyuan (also known as Qiliyuan), Central Plains (also known as Xinxingyuan) and Dongyuan (also known as Lingqian Yuan). Sanyuan is the ancient capital city, since the Northern Wei Taiping Zhenjun seven years (AD 446) home county, has a history of more than 1570 years, known as "food and clothing capital, hundreds of millions of mouth" reputation. County area of 576.9 square kilometers, commonly used arable land area of 491265 mu, jurisdiction 1 street office 9 towns 4 centers 172 administrative villages, the county's registered population of 408165 (2018). Sanyuan is located in the arc center of Xi'an, Xianyang, Weinan, Tongchuan and other surrounding large and medium-sized cities, connected with Lintong, Fuping and Yanliang in the east, Gaoling in the south and Jingyang and Chun in the west.
