San Antonio (/ˌsæn ænˈtoʊnioʊ/ SAN an-TOH-nee-oh; Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States, and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.
Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.
Jianghai District, which belongs to Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Jiangmen City. It is one of the central urban areas of Jiangmen, bordering Pengjiang District in the north, Xinhui District in the south and west, and Zhongshan Ancient Town, the lighting capital of the world, across the river in the east. The area is close to the South China Sea and belongs to the subtropical marine monsoon climate. The three expressways of Zhongjiang, Jianghe and Jiangzhu meet in the region, and the Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity light rail passes through. In 2014, there were three streets outside the sea, Li Le and Jiangnan, with a total area of 109.16 square kilometers, of which the urban built-up area was more than 40 square kilometers, with a resident population of about 250000 and a floating population of about 100000. On June 17, 2013, Jiangmen National High-tech Zone and Jianghai District co-signed. National intellectual property rights strong county project demonstration county (district).
