San Antonio (/ˌsæn ænˈtoʊnioʊ/ SAN an-TOH-nee-oh; Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States, and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.
Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.
Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, which belongs to Siping City, Jilin Province, is the only Manchu Autonomous County in Jilin Province. "Yitong" is a Manchu transliteration, derived from the name of Yitong River, which means "grand, surging river". Yitong Manchu Autonomous County is located in the middle of Jilin Province, the upper reaches of Yitong River, the south of the provincial capital Changchun, Shuangyang District of Changchun City in the east, Panshi City in the southeast, Dongfeng and Dongliao counties in the south, Lishu County in the southwest, Gongzhuling City in the southwest and the suburbs of Changchun in the north. The territory is 76 kilometers from east to west, 66 kilometers from north to south, and covers an area of 2523 square kilometers. It was first promoted to Yitong Prefecture in the eighth year of Guang Xu (1882) and Yitong Zhili Prefecture in the first year of Xuantong (1909). In 1913, the state was withdrawn and the county was established. On August 30, 1988, Yitong County was abolished and established.
