San Antonio (/ˌsæn ænˈtoʊnioʊ/ SAN an-TOH-nee-oh; Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States, and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.

Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.

Longhu District, located in the central urban area of Shantou City, is the birthplace of Shantou Special Economic Zone and a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. The area covers an area of 103.13 square kilometers, with 5 streets of Jinxia, Zhuchi, Xinjin, Longxiang and Oulting and 2 towns of Wisha and Xinxi. In 2012, Longhu District had a total of 110630 registered households and a total population of 409999, with a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 20.012 billion yuan. Longhu District has won many honorary titles, such as the advanced area of national civil affairs work, the advanced area of national scientific and technological progress assessment, the first batch of county engineering areas with strong intellectual property rights, the national advanced collective of population and family planning, and the "advanced unit of provincial aging work".
