San Antonio (/ˌsæn ænˈtoʊnioʊ/ SAN an-TOH-nee-oh; Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States, and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.
Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.
Zhong Xiang, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province, is hosted by Jingmen City. It is located in the middle reaches of the Hanjiang River, Yicheng and Suizhou to the north, Tianmen City and Shayang County to the south, Jingshan City to the east, Dongbao District and Luidao District to the west, between 30 °42 degrees north latitude 31 °36 'and 112 °07 east longitude 113 °00'. There are 207 National Highway, Jiaozhi Railway, Changjing Railway, Xiang Jing Expressway and Wujing Expressway passing through the territory. Zhongxiang City covers a total area of 4488 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, it has jurisdiction over 1 street, 15 towns, 1 township, and 2 provincial economic and technological development zones. In 2018, the city's GDP reached 50.5 billion yuan, an increase of 8 percent over 2017. Zhongxiang is located in the middle and low mountain areas of Hubei, with high terrain in the northeast and low in the southwest.
