San Antonio (/ˌsæn ænˈtoʊnioʊ/ SAN an-TOH-nee-oh; Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is a city in Texas, United States. The city is the seventh-most populous in the United States, the second-largest in the Southern United States, and the second-most populous in Texas. It is the 12th most-populous city in North America, with 1,434,625 residents in 2020.

Founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718, the city in 1731 became the first chartered civil settlement in what is now present-day Texas. The area was then part of the Spanish Empire. From 1821 to 1836, it was part of the Mexican Republic. It is the oldest municipality in Texas, having celebrated its 300th anniversary on May 1, 2018.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, referred to as "Xin", the capital city of Urumqi, located in the northwest border of China, is one of China's five ethnic minority autonomous regions. With an area of 1.66 million square kilometers, it is the largest provincial administrative region in China, accounting for 1/6 of China's total land area. The resident population is 24.8676 million (at the end of 2018). Xinjiang is located in the hinterland of Eurasia, with a land border of more than 5600 kilometers, and is bordered by Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, India, and Afghanistan. It is an important passage of the ancient Silk Road in history, and now it is a necessary place for the second "Eurasian Continental Bridge", and its strategic position is very important. There are 56 nationalities in Xinjiang, mainly living in Han, Uygur and Uygur.
