Wichita (/ˈwɪtʃɪtɔː/ WITCH-ih-taw) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Sedgwick County. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 397,532. The Wichita metro area had a population of 647,610 in 2020. It is located in south-central Kansas on the Arkansas River.

Wichita began as a trading post on the Chisholm Trail in the 1860s and was incorporated as a city in 1870. It became a destination for cattle drives traveling north from Texas to Kansas railroads, earning it the nickname "Cowtown". Wyatt Earp served as a police officer in Wichita for around one year before going to Dodge City.

Xiaodian District is under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, which is located in 112 °24mm east longitude 112 °43km, 37 °36th latitude 37 °49km, southeast of Taiyuan City, north end of Jinzhong Basin, bordering Yuci District of Jinzhong City in the east, Qingxu County in the south, across Fenhe River in Jinyuan District in the west, and connecting with Yingze District in the north. It is the main expansion area of Taiyuan's urban development strategy of "moving south to the west, expanding capacity and improving quality", and it is the frontier of the joint development of Taiyuan and Jinzhong city. Xiaodian District has jurisdiction over 7 streets, 1 town and 2 townships, with a total area of 295 square kilometers and a resident population of 829000 (2017). In 2018, Xiaodian District was selected as one of the top 100 areas in China and one of the top 100 investment potential areas in China. In October 2019, it was named as the 2019 national vote.
