Wichita (/ˈwɪtʃɪtɔː/ WITCH-ih-taw) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Sedgwick County. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 397,532. The Wichita metro area had a population of 647,610 in 2020. It is located in south-central Kansas on the Arkansas River.
Wichita began as a trading post on the Chisholm Trail in the 1860s and was incorporated as a city in 1870. It became a destination for cattle drives traveling north from Texas to Kansas railroads, earning it the nickname "Cowtown". Wyatt Earp served as a police officer in Wichita for around one year before going to Dodge City.
Xihe District, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the west of Liaoning Province, around Fuxin City, bordering Fuxin County, 170 kilometers southeast of Shenyang and 111 kilometers southwest of Jinzhou. The north faces the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region. As of 2009, Xihe District has a total area of 126.46 square kilometers, with an urban area of 14.66 square kilometers, with a total population of 197000, including 157000 in urban areas, 40, 000 in rural areas, 178000 in non-agricultural areas and 19000 in agriculture. It has four streets and one town. In 2013, the GDP of Xihe District reached 4.5 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 30%; the public budget revenue of 440 million yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 52.3%; and the social investment in fixed assets reached 4.5 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 46.8%.
